From seabirds to seals and migrating whales, this part of the Sonoma Coast has to be seen. You also have the option of driving to the head.
Park your car at the Bodega Bay Equestrian Trailhead or as close to 1681 Bay Flat Rd as you can. From there, you should see the Bodega Dunes Trail.
It is an 8.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
For a shorter hike, park your car as close as you can to the Dorm Trail (see map above), and join the Bodega Dunes Trail about half way along.
